Stevie G slip-up

Liverpool took on West Ham at Anfield on Monday night. A win would have put the Scousers three points clear of Chelsea at the top of the table. With 20 minutes left on the clock, the match was still goal-less. The ball fell to Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard. And with a chance to open the scoring, he did this.

Not a good time for a fresh-air shot. Robin van Persie - founder member of the Premier League’s swing-and-miss club - probably feels a bit better about himself though.
